BRIDGELAND
QUARTET

Founded in 2022, the Bridgeland Quartet is an all female, Calgary-based string ensemble specializing in challenging conventions and pushing traditional performance practices.

All highly trained classical musicians, the ladies of BQ came together over a mutual ambition for both elevating the level of classical music within the city, and breaking down barriers which have historically isolated classical musicians from mainstream music culture.

The quartet is also passionate about interdisciplinary partnerships; frequently performing at local art galleries, cocktail lounges, and other unique venues.

The musical repertoire of the quartet ranges from classical standards to jazz favourites, contemporary pop and rock, and more.
